About The Modern Agriculture Network
The Modern Agriculture Network, TMAN, is a professional network connecting farmers, agribusiness founders, investors, institutions and members of the African diaspora across the agricultural value chain.
Through educational programmes, industry webinars, practical resources and professional networking, we are building an informed and well-connected agricultural network.
About the role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and teachable Executive Assistant and Member Operations Coordinator.
You will work closely with TMAN's founder, helping her manage her schedule, priorities and follow-ups while supporting the daily operations of the network.
This is an in-person role. When the founder is in Lagos, you must be available to work alongside her in person each working day and accompany her to relevant meetings, activities and events.
The role will also involve travelling with the founder within Nigeria when required. This may occasionally include overnight travel. Approved business travel expenses, including transportation and accommodation where necessary, will be covered by the company.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the founder's calendar, appointments, meetings and reminders
- Maintain clear task lists and monitor deadlines
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas and record action points
- Ensure that agreed actions and follow-ups are completed
- Support email management, correspondence and document preparation
- Assist with travel planning, itineraries and bookings
- Accompany the founder to meetings, events and business trips
- Help coordinate arrangements during business travel
- Respond to routine member and prospective member enquiries
- Support the onboarding of new TMAN members
- Coordinate webinar registrations, reminders and follow-up communications
- Maintain accurate member records, trackers and internal documents
- Follow up with speakers, partners, members and service providers
- Help coordinate virtual and in-person events
- Document and improve internal processes
- Provide general operational support where required
Who we are looking for
- Extremely organised and attentive to detail
- Proactive and able to notice what needs to be done
- Dependable and consistent with follow-ups
- A clear and professional communicator
- Discreet when handling confidential information
- Comfortable receiving direct and detailed feedback
- Able to apply instructions accurately
- Willing to ask questions when something is unclear
- Comfortable travelling within Nigeria
- Flexible enough to support a founder's changing schedule
- Confident using digital tools or able to learn them quickly
- Genuinely interested in agriculture, entrepreneurship and startup environments
Graduate and early-career applications
Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. You do not need years of executive assistance experience.
We value intelligence, initiative, attention to detail and teachability over a perfectly polished CV. However, being junior does not mean being passive. You must be willing to learn quickly, take responsibility for your work and improve when feedback is given.
Location and commuting requirements
You must be based in Lagos or already live close enough to commute reliably to Lagos Island.
Your normal travel to and from the workplace is your responsibility. The company will not pay for your daily commute, accommodation in Lagos or transportation into the office.
Please do not apply if you would need the company to fund regular long-distance travel, flights or accommodation for you to report to work in Lagos.
Separate business travel undertaken for TMAN, such as accompanying the founder to another state, will be arranged or reimbursed by the company when approved in advance.
Room for growth
We want to build a team that grows with TMAN.
The intention is to develop a long-term working relationship with the successful candidate. As TMAN grows, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, develop new skills and progress within the company.
Progression will depend on individual performance, business requirements and the continued growth of TMAN.

- Consistent with follow-ups
- Organised enough to manage several conversations simultaneously
- Proactive, resilient and comfortable creating opportunities
- Receptive to direct feedback
- Genuinely interested in agriculture, business and African markets

Graduate and early-career applications

Separate business travel undertaken for TMAN outside your normal Lagos working arrangements will be arranged or reimbursed by the company when approved in advance.
Room for growth
